Episode 61 - The Omen

October 17, 2015 by Matthew Johnson

“When the Jews return to Zion
And a comet rips the sky
And the Holy Roman Empire rises,
Then you and I must die.
From the eternal sea he rises,
Creating armies on either shore,
Turning man against his brother
'Til man exists no more.”

So goes the prophecy that Gregory Peck’s character, Robert Thorn recites prior to ultimately deciding to kill his adopted son Damien, whom we are led to believe is the son of the devil, the anti Christ.  But, wait, is there another explanation? Is it possible that Damien is just a normal little kid? Bob and I dive head first in this classic horror film and try to turn it on it side and look at it from another angle.

Up next, Forbidden Planet. Ok, it’s more science fiction than horror, but you’ve got to admit the ID can be pretty terrifying in the film!
